Financial Analyst

Description

First level accountant responsible for assisting in the daytoday maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger, conducts or assists in the documentation of simple accounting projects, and/or preparation of basic financial reports. Essential Functions Perform various accounting duties as required, to include but not limited to, cash receipts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and inventory dutiesMaintain and reconcile ledger accountsDevelop, implement and maintain Excel spreadsheets to support assigned dutiesAssist with month end processes, which may require working weekend or overtime hoursPrepare, review and/or post journal entriesWork on projects of diverse scope, exercising skills of evaluation, recommendation and implementationLearn and use one or more general accounting systemsMonitor that key control documents (receipts, payable, payroll, inventory and financial reporting, audits, etc) are timely processed, signed and filed.Update budget and forecast changes to financial system provided by managementThis could be a potential right to hire position It is a new role to the organization since they are realigning their Accounting Department. Will be working closely with the CPA in a small department once the transition is complete.
