2010 Exchange Architect

Description

The primary driver for our clients Exchange migration is assurance that they can continue to operate on a fully Microsoftsupported version of Exchange. The Exchange SME must have previous experience architecting, designing/implementing & migrating messaging environment and directory services to determine the path for an upgrade to Exchange 2010 Requirements 1. Must have previous experience reviewing/revising/defining requirements of a new messaging environment based on Exchange 2010a. Develop & Deliver a messaging architecture for the implementation of Exchange 2010. b. Develop & Deliver an implementation plan to migrate the messaging environment to Exchange 2010. 2. Design & Build the Exchange 2010 environment as designed and conduct a pilot migration to test and verify application compatibility and system performance/stability from the following a. Perform a pilot migration of two hundred (200) mailboxes from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010. i. Exchange 2010 Services in clients 2 core locations ii. High availability and site resiliency leveraging native Microsoft HA/DR options and 3rd party tools where applicable iii. Database Availability Groups (DAG) for mailbox services iv. Scalability for organizational and capacity growth over a five year period v. Secure internal and external messaging communication and access. vi. Evaluate virtualization options for Exchange 2010 where applicable vii. VMware HA/Fault tolerance (potentially) for CAS/HUB roles Strong Plus3. Provide knowledge transfer to client technical and operational staff members by formally developing and delivering project documentation and working collaboratively throughout the project lifecycle such that client are equipped to complete the production migration of all remaining users after completion of the pilot. 4. Demonstrated ability to engage in senior level technology decision maker discussions related to agility, business value. 5. Candidate will work in a highly decentralized and customer facing environment.6. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.7. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective communicator. 8. Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of this project.
