Description
DUTIES This role includes providing technical stewardship of enterprise portal environments, support, problem determination, change management, release management, performance analysis, environment design and operation of large, complex Portal solutions leveraging IBM's Websphere Portal running on IBM's Websphere J2EE platform. This person will communicate with a wide range of client, application, architectural, and systems personnel. The engineer will ensure conformance to established system architecture, methods, regulations, standards and practices and participate in their creation. Also, participate in long range planning and ensure those plans are consistent with business objectives for resiliency, disaster tolerance, and regulatory compliance. The engineer will also be responsible for ensuring effective implementation of application code aimed at ensuring efficient and highly available production applications. Design and develop techniques for effective implementation and continual release management disciplines. Improve documentation, templates and processes. The engineer must be able to analyze and problem solve complex technical issues with minimal supervision, and work within a team environment while communicating well to a diverse set of colleagues.
