IT Business Analyst

Description

IT BUSINESS ANALYSTMajor healthcare provider in western Michigan needs a contract IT Business Analyst to act as the liaison between the business and technical teams. Management of Business Requirements Investigates business problems to define what the problems are, not how to solve them. Works with IT development staff to complete systematic analysis of the business problem to determine the impact to reports, interfaces, and extensions Translates the business problem into documented business requirements using industry standard techniques (e.g. use cases) Drives customer prioritization and manages business requirements throughout the project lifecycle Documents, publishes, distributes, maintains, and ensures signoff of business requirements Testing Coordination Documents traceability matrix ensuring all requirements are testable and measurable Completes analysis and documentation of test strategy and plan Partners with the Project Manager in planning project testing activities, timeline, and identification of business testing resources to support the project Acts as the lead coordinator of testing tasks across multiple departments, managing progress, and resolution of issues Global understanding of supported systems, environments, data models, data flows, Facets online and batches, replication, GDS incremental, interfaces into supported systems (e.g. Lawson) to manage testing dependencies Coordinates timing of batches, interfaces, and extracts across multiple business areas and technical teams to support internal and external testing Ensures that the testers have documented test cases/scenarios, expected, and actual testing results per Priority Health change control standards Leads and documents issue resolution for issues related to system configuration, business requirements, and testing Ensures business signoff of test tracking documents prior to implementation of a product Skills Required & Experience (in years) IT Business Analyst Excel (13 years) Outlook (13 years) Word (13 years) VISIO (13 years) Healthcare
