Wintel System Administrator OS configuration OS Installation Storage Software mgt Networking Security Virtualization Clustering Windows 2003 2018 The SA has to know how to Install OS Execute Standard Configurations Perform VM Builds Install OS from DVD or iLO / DRAC Identify if a patch is installed and determine if a newer version is available Apply patch bundles and individual vendor patches Identify if a software package is installed Install additional software Manage physical disk partitions Perform RAID array operations Setup logical / physical volumes Install and configure EMC Powerpath or other associated SAN software Configure networks ports on servers Setup and identify issues with static routes N/A Install and configure Vmware Install and configure VCC software Create a VM template Clone a VM template Add processors to VM server Add ram to VM server Add disk to VM server Add NIC to VM server Verify both servers see the same resources Verify network connectivity Familiar with Cluster Administrator Familiar with clusdiag utility
