Description
The System Analyst is a resource to the Project Management Office performing system and business analysis for the implementation of a new enterprise web content management system. 1. Perform as a Systems Analyst in a variety of functions related to data analysis, requirements and functional documentation, and reporting. 2. Interface with external teams as requested to record their business requirements and needs as it pertains to the deployment of a new Content Management System. 3. Critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose highlevel information into details, abstract up from lowlevel information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements 4. Map and document the business needs to the technical features for predeveloped application packages and work with various teams to help develop solutions utilizing the packages. 5. Conduct technical research on system upgrades to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with current system. 6. Write and maintain system documentation. 7. Perform reporting and documenting tasks as assigned. 8. Develop a good understanding of the business or function for which the application is designed. 9. Actively participate in staff and company meetings as designated. 10. Willingness and ability to work projects with a variety of departments in a variety of roles for educational and company goal purposes. This may include testing, support, or implementation. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSThe minimum education preferred to be considered for this position is Bachelors degree with specialization in computer systems, programming, systems analysis or a related field preferred and/or the combination of education and/or experience that would allow successful performance in all aspects of the position. A strong enterprise web content management technologist with handson web programming and server administration experience5 plus years of work experience as an Analyst or equivalent applicable experience; Strong communication skills, written and verbal.Proven interpersonal skills.Must have a strong work ethic and capacity to be selfmotivating.Specialized or technical knowledge, credentials or licensing required for the position include Ability to focus on and maintain accuracy on detailed tasks; to consider interactions of multiple applications and systems within MNGi, to multitask, to approach projects logically and systematically; to prepare reports and related information as needed; to communicate technical information to a variety of personnel; to communicate with others and assimilate and understand information in a manner consistent with the essential job functions; to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments. A strong enterprise web content management technologist with handson web programming and server administration experienceDegree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field At least 3 years of work experience and 2 years RELEVANT IT experience.Advanced knowledge of HTML and experience with popular content management systems.Experience in web site development and maintenance. Expertise in content management systems and various database types as applied in web applications. Experience with several programming languages and familiarity with database management systems (SQL,Oracle). Experience working in a Unix/Linux and Windows environments.Advantageous to have indepth knowledge of HTML, XML, CSS, Acrobat, RSS, and other Web 2.0 technologies.Strong written and oral communications skills; Strong experience in Microsoft Office ToolsExperience in various writing techniques.
