Business Objects Administrator

Chase Card Services is looking for the Business Objects Admin position that will assist in the design, development and implementation of TS/TI Datastage infrastructure. Assist project teams with the Datastage infrastructure support. Primary responsibilities include designing, configuring, supporting, maintaining, administering, and documenting the Datastage environments (development, test, QA, performance, UAT, training, production, and DR). Specifically the roles responsibilities include Administering and supporting multiple environments, pager support is required; Interfacing with the Infrastructure and Operations groups; Supporting the development teams with Datastage infrastructure support. .Application support work with application developers to help troubleshoot and finetune applications and also if required guide application developers in best practices related to using the underlying UNIX infrastructure. Performance Tuning performance tuning the systems to achieve optimal performance for computational intensive applications Design & Architecture Suggest and improve systems design and architecture for both systems and applications. Work with Architects to provide feedback on system capacity / issues. Communication There will also be some client contact, and some project management skills required. Qualifications Must have 3+ years of handson DataStage experience in a medium to large company, with good knowledge of UNIX OS Datastage version 8.1 AIX 6.1 DB2 administration, backup, restore etc. Oracle 11g Ability to troubleshoot problems, performance tuning & analyze performance statistics Perl/ksh scripting experience required Ability of communicate with the clients. Good knowledge of networking (TCP/IP) & web (http/https) protocols is required Weekend work to system maintenance and requires to carry a pager 24/7 when on call College or Graduate Degree is preferable.
