Description Looking from someone who needs developed large, consumer facing websites in PHP. Familiarity with the Zend Framework a huge plus. More of a backend engineering type. BabyCenter is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer with extensive PHP, HTML and JavaScript experience for application development on our Social Platform, the software that powers the BabyCenter Community sites. The developer has the opportunity to build and develop products for the largest online community of moms on the internet. The ideal candidate will have experience building large capacity consumer facing web sites, working with new technologies and the desire to build a great platform. Responsibilities Build new features and improve existing social product Collaborate with the product team on new features Work with engineering, design and product teams to develop beautiful and user friendly applications Requirements 5+ years application development experience Mathematics, Computer Science degree or equivalent experience PHP 3+ years hands on experience, HTML, JavaScript Developing in objectoriented architecture Desired Skills Experience with developing applications using Zend Framework Experience working in Agile Development processes Experience with writing SQL and database schemas Experience with MySQL, Apache and Unix development enviornment
