Description

Donegal is in the need of (3) J2EE developers to join their team on a contract basis. The contracts will last a minimum of (7) months and could go as long as (12)+months. Donegals claims system was on the mainframe. They have started the Guidewire conversion in 2005 through 2017. Now they are doing the JAVA implementation portion of this project. Donegal has done the integration work with the Guidewire product, but changes are required within the system. They are not starting from scratch, but modifications, changes and reporting work is required. All of the mainframe has effectively been converted, this work is merely and upgrade to the claims center system. The latest version was released (6) months ago with the goal to stay current on with the technology. Donegal is also moving to Oracle 11i. Day to Day Responsibilities Adjusting & Rewriting Code Interaction with business areas per users in the claims areas Utilizing the traditional waterfall methodology Programming ntier applications using the J2EE Programming ntier applications using the J2EE stack (i.e. servlets, JSP) Working on Tomcat application server Writing SQL queries and working within databases Refactoring JAVA Code using opensource tools (i.e. JUnit, Ant) Usage of OODP (Object Oriented Design Patterns) Usage of JOLT (First Letters Stands for Java, Oracle, Linux, and Tomcat); Linux experience is not necessary, but experience with Tomcat is required.)
