Tables, references, and dimensions, 6. Analytical Functions This position is in Bensenville, IL; seeking a Senior Informatica Developer for a 3+ month contract that can go as long as 12 months. the client is embarking on a multiyear initiative to create an Enterprise EDW from the ground up. They are very close to the first deployment on this EDW project. They have lost Developers from the Data Movement team to other projects and need 2 consultants to assist with the EDW project. To stack rank the tecnologies needed will be the following 1. Informatica 8.61 Development (EDW environment & mapping) 2. SQL Development (pulling data from EDW) 3. UNIX Shell Scripting (AIX box w/Korn Shell) 4. Data Warehouse Concepts OLTP, Star Schema, Snow Flake, SQL Tuning, Advanced Tables, references, and dimensions 5. Analytical Functions The consultant will be pulling data from an Oracle 10g environment and loading it into an Oracle 11g database/EDW. The immediate development team is 5 Developers and a Lead and that is housed in the larger Data Integrationm Team which is comprised of 1215 team members. The consultant will have to know when to use Data warehouse functions vs. analytical functions. The consultants will have to have experience with EDW environments large enough to have hundreds of millions of records in the fact tables. Experience with and understanding of performance tuning will be important.
