Description
QA testers with SOA & Web services The 6 testers will start up a new SOA Web services team. These folks also need to be solid testers (Experience with HP Service Test or SOAP UI). They will be working with code and software functionality not involving language. They are going to be exposed to a variety of development approaches (waterfall, iterative, etc) and technologies (web, client/server, mainframe, SOA. Duties will include analyzing requirements, writing test cases, executing test cases, reporting results, generating reports. All will be working on the next phase of a particular project. Testing will primarily be Manual, but knowledge of QTP would be an advantage so we can position the testing for automation. Requirements are currently being finalized, so the test cases have not been created for the new functionality. Tools utilized Quality Center, Excel, Word, ReqPro. Exposure to tools like TOAD, Cognos, SQL would be good. Quality Center as a defect tracking tool. Primarily frontend, but endtoend testing is part of the process so backend will be a component.
