Description
Senior Siebel Developer (2)Participate in the evaluation of Siebel application systems/programming requirements and processes (e.g., new development, enhancements or maintenance), in the preparation of application system specifications, and in the development, testing, and implementation of efficient, cost effective application solutions. The role requires an extensive knowledge and experience of the Siebel Configuration, Siebel WorkFlow, Siebel Business Services (eScript), and Siebel EAI Web Service Integration. Developer must have at least 3 years of experience working with Siebel 7 and above and at least one year working with Siebel 7.7. Developer must also have at least 2 years of EAI experience with Siebel and have a good working knowledge of Siebel web services. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The development, unit and assembly testing of all new Siebel solutions and enhancements to existing solutions. Understand the business requirements and processes that underpin the technical design of each solution. Provide technical consultancy to functional requirements derived from the business requirements. Determine the technical design and document (for review) the technical solution to be implemented. Prepare detailed Unit and Assembly Test cases and test conditions in line with the solution to be implemented. Provide technical investigation and consultancy to other Business Units where Siebel experience is required. Support Systems Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases by resolving incidents (issues and defects) identified during these phases. Interface with the development team leader during planning and progress activities. Coordinate and plan (personal) daily, weekly and monthly tasks in line with the detailed development plan. Understand the Program initiatives, plans and other workstream dependencies through regular meetings and updates. Provide regular updates (to Team/ Team Leader/Delivery Manager) as to task progress against plans, issues encountered and potential risks to the workstream. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in related discipline At least four or more years experience in systems analysis and application program development Minimum of three years of Siebel 7 experience and at least one year experience working with Siebel 7.7. Minimum of three years experience with writing and debugging Siebel eScript Minimum of three years experience with Siebel configuration (Siebel tools, Siebel workflow, Siebel business services, & Siebel EAI) Minimum of two years experience in developing Siebel EAI Web Services. At least two years experience with writing and debugging PL/SQL. Working knowledge of Unix systems. Good judgment and communication skills Ability to work effectively with clients and IT management and staffs Ability to communicate effectively with the Business customer to identify their needs and objectives, also demonstrate
