Project Analyst/Business Analyst

POSITION SUMMARYThis position supports large corporate projects and is responsible for identifying the business needs of project stakeholders to help determine and implement effective solutions to business problems.Specifically, the Project Analyst is responsible for development and management of business requirements. The Project Analyst elicits, systematically analyzes, validates and documents business, organizational and/or operational requirements. Once requirements are identified, the Project Analyst facilitates the collaborative identification of solutions by business and technical staff based on business needs. Solutions often include a systems development component, but may also consist of process improvement or organizational change.The Project Analyst supports the successful implementation of identified solutions through the related functions of business process engineering, coordination of testing activities, issue resolution and implementation support. DIRECTION EXERCISED The Project Analyst contributes and provides leadership to the project team in the development of effective solutions to business problems. The Project Analyst is a key leader within project teams, acting as a bridge between the business sponsor, project stakeholders and the development team. DIRECTION RECEIVEDThe Project Analyst takes direction on project tasks, and is accountable to, the project manager. WORK ENVIRONMENTMaintains organized and uncluttered work area. Maintains pleasant, comfortable environment for visitors. Possesses ability to concentrate, stay focused, and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner while working in a high stress environment.
