Position Description The Senior Application Developer / Architect shall have extensive experience in developing, maintaining, and supporting applications and computer/network operating system and other system software. Has prime accountability for major projects and will develop detailed and robust requirements, code, test, and implement proposed systems. Handson experience with projects supporting Service Oriented Architecture principles. Works without technical oversight or as the leader of a team as required. May serve as a Work Order Manager or Backup Work Order Manager. Shall also possess strong oral and written communications skills in order to clearly and effectively convey issues, reports, and other deliverables to SSA counterparts. Skills Requirements Required Skills Experience with J2EE technologies such as Core Java, JSP, EJB, JDBC, JMS, WASD, Web sphere, RAD and Servlets. Experience with Web Service Technology and Security Service Definition Language (WSDL), WSSecurity, Web ServicesInteroperability (WSI), Message Transmission Optimization Mechanism (MTOM), SOAP With Attachments (SWA) Experience with J2EE Framework/ORM such as Struts and Hibernate. Solid OOD/OOP foundation with experience in UML diagramming and design documentation. Database experience such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, SQL and JDBC. Strong XML processing experience such as XSD, XPath, XSL, XSLT, etc. Working knowledge of Health IT standards such as Integrating the Health Enterprise (IHE), Health Level Seven (HL7) and Nationwide Health Information Network (NHIN). Working knowledge of Infrastructure Profiles such as CrossCommunity Access (XCA), Cross Enterprise Document Sharing (XDS), Patient Demographics Query(PDQ), Patient Identifier Cross Referencing(PIX), External Data Representation (XDR), eXtensible Access Control Markup Language (XACML), CrossCommunity Patient Discovery (XCPD) and those standards adopted by Health Information Technology Standards Panel (HITSP). Experience with JavaScript, HTML, SSL. Experience with complex programming, program debugging, data analysis, problem analysis and resolution issues within OO application systems. Communication skills to present ideas and concepts effectively; strong and proven problem solving. Selfmanaged with the ability to mentor others. Desired Skills Experience with Messaging IBM MQ 2 years Experience with UNIX operating system such as Sun Solaris. NHIN CONNECT Gateway Net beans, Glassfish and Metro Self starter, highly motivated individual, and a team player who adapts to a dynamic work environment. Ability to investigate/research issues, determines impact, and provide solutions. Experience with version control software such as MKS and CSS. Familiar with Web Service technologies such as Apache Axis, SOAP and WSDL. Familiar with Rational Unified Process, CMM/CMMI. Familiar with MS Project and Visio.
