Major Duties & Responsibilities Engineer Business Software (40%) Design & develop new features for existing systemseCommerce webbased classic ASP or ASP.net with SQL DB Transaction server side C#, VB6, C with SQL DB Internal Tools VB6 or C# Windows UIs with SQL DB Provide multiple solutions to customer needs Define objective decision criteria (i.e., cost, time to market, maintainability, fit to product roadmap) Accurately plan and estimate product releases Engineer Infrastructure Software (10%) Design & develop the software foundation, so projects can be executed efficiently Develop standards for the software organization Leadership (10%) Provide technical mentoring to junior engineers Provide direction to a small team Collaborate with internal and external customers (20%) Partner with product managers, business analysts and end customers Define and verify requirements Develop testing and rollout strategies Manage customer expectations and assist with setting project priorities Support (10%) Find and fix bugs in released software Own the technical details of specific software Continuous Learning (10%) Work on projects outside domain and implement continuously improving software processes Seek out and apply new technologies and skills in daily work through conferences, online training, reading, participation in organizations and user groups, etc. Qualifications;Required Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesCompletion of a Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering degree 5 years software engineering experience Knowledge of C#, ASP, SQL, C and VB Experience working in a Microsoft environment Strong software development skills Requirements analysis skills and experience Communication skills Detail oriented Strong work ethic Goal oriented Fast learner High initiative Flexible and able to manage multiple priorities Ability to work independently and on a team Strong focus on customer service
