Description

Strong Data Analysis and Architect skills i. Works in an enterprise data environment composed of both business application data and Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse data, which includes data design, data integration, database architecture, metadata and reporting creation. ii. Define legacy data architectures by reverse engineering physical database and file structures into logical and dimensional data models iii. Translate business needs into longterm information architecture solution. iv. Defines designs and builds dimensional databases. v. Responsible for developing data warehouse blueprints, evaluating hardware and software platforms and integrating systems. vi. Responsible for designing/developing single version of the truth solutions across lines of business and multiple corporate brands. vii. Experience with retail business models viii. Identifies common data usage across legacy business applications, and determines best source single version of the truth ix. Evaluates reusability of current data for additional analysis. x. Conducts data quality initiative to rid system of old, unused, or duplicate data (profiling, auditing, cleansing). xi. Renews object and data models and the metadata reporting to structure the data for better management and quicker access.b. Strong in data modeling (Normalization, Star Schema, The Vault)c. Strong in data architecture (Data Warehousing, ODS, Data Marts, Staging, Business Application data boundaries)d. Strong SQL skillse. Expertise in a (or multiple) CASE tools (ERwin, ORACLE Designer 2000, ER/Studio, SAP PowerDesigner, InfoSphere Rational Data Architect, etc.).f. Exposure to MDM solutions, particularly Customerg. Exposure to integration tools (DTS, SSIS, Informatica, Data Stage, etc.) and comparable middleware messaging and in memory solutionsh. Exposure to OLAP tools (Analysis Services, Cognos, BO, etc.)i. Exposure to Reporting tools (Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, ProClarity, etc.)
