SAP BW Developer

Description

The person should be responsible for the development of BW front end and backend development within the SAP BW System. The person will be responsible for following standard development processes. The person will work closely with the project team to design, develop, document, and unit test their work. The person will work closely with the data architects and project managers to track progress, issues, and coordination of work. The person should be able to also recommend improvements in development, maintenance, system standards and processes. The person will follow the Medtronic BW team standards, procedures, methodologies, and protocols. The person must have at least 2 years of working knowledge of SAP BW. Position Responsibilities Analyze SAP BW Requirements and provide estimates. Ability to work with Business Analysts and Data Modelers on requirements gathering/clarification and design. Implements and tests new or modified reports and/or programs. Corrects program errors. Works with and advises clients in areas assigned on project needs and design. Ability to estimate work effort for development and enhancement requests. Maintains competency in the technology related to responsibilities (BW, BEX, Administrative Workbench, etc). Review design and documentation with architects. Participate in troubleshooting initiatives for issues that arise. Understand and utilize BW Team tools, standards, and methodologies for project management, documentation, system development, and implementation. Communicate with customer to ensure understanding of requirements. Identify and capture requirements for smaller scale projects, participate in producing work estimates. Maintain a productive relationship with business sponsors and end users.
