POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Analyze, design, develop, implement and support Business Intelligence technical solutions using MicroStrategy. Serve as BI subject matter expert Lead and/or assist in the design and development of dashboards and reports utilizing the enterprise data warehouse Address dashboard and report security for all user roles Assist ETL developer(s) in effectively tuning and addressing the performance of the data warehouse Assist in defining the data warehouse architecture and technical requirements, and in coordinating the design of data models Participate in the implementation and maintenance of source control and release procedures Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to BI solutions. Provide decisionsupport to business unit analysts and managers bycreating reports, running queries, and performing advanced analytics. Provide expert advice in the usage and interpretation of data. Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting in response to requests from end users. Troubleshoot BI problems. Identify, coordinate and help resolve the root cause of day to day production issues utilizing MPC ISS defined problem solving guidelines and process. Identify data quality issues and their root causes. Propose fixes and design data audits. Create technical and enduser documentation for developed BI components.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, BusinessAdministration or other related field. Or equivalent work experience 10+ years working with MicroStrategy (experience with version 9 preferred) Experience in leading an implementation team through requirements,designing, building, testing and deployment phases. Experience in developing dashboards and complex reporting. Thorough understanding of data warehouse architecture. Working knowledge of ETL tools; Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) preferred. Experience with database platforms; Oracle preferred. Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories,principles, and practices. Wellversed in writing freehand SQL. Handson experience with data architecting, data mining, data modeling,and business requirements gathering and analysis. Proven project management experience. Firm understanding of Microsoft Excel and Access. Experience gathering requirements and analyzing data.
