Overview As an SQAE you will assist with the expansion of the quality assurance program within Clinical and Economic Research (C&ER) by leveraging existing and emerging technologies. Expansion and development, of this program, will focus on the highest quality, in key deliverables, from the C&ER team, such as; software components, eapplications, and knowledge repositories. You will be responsible for testing assigned components as well as assisting with development and maintenance of testing tools, such as; test case repository/management, output analysis, and test case generation and analysis tools. This position will support the development of our custom product suite in addition to other Clinical Research deliverables. Responsibilities Responsible for creation of test cases based on clinical specifications and test data to certify that the specifications are satisfied Participate in software development process planning and focus on QA Test Plan Responsible for development and execution of Test Plan Responsible for execution of test cases (both manual and automated), reporting defects, development of test cases/test sets to certify defect fixes Assist in design of testing tools, automated applications to assist in development of clinical test cases Team member responsibilities include risk management, development of level of estimates for assigned work, participation in project planning, project status and/or sprint meetings and participation in postimplementation reviews to identify and recommend solutions to close identified gaps Build software programs to create and maintain positive and destructive test cases that verify the appropriate behavior of software deliverables as defined by requirements, specifications. Conduct conformance testing of software deliverables to verify behavior of modified or newly created test sets, measure behaviors, analyze and document results for review. Testing and Software Engineering Skills Bachelors degree (BS) in Computer Science or equivalent degree Skilled at creating software quality test plans Experience with software test automation tools Analytical and detailed oriented with excellent problemsolving skills Software quality assurance experience or equivalent software development/testing experience a plus Proficient in assessing software completeness against design specifications Proficient with high level programming languages (I.e. C, C++, or Java) SilkTest/WinRunner/IBM Rational Change or other similar tools experience a plus SQL or MKS Toolkit experience a plus Experience with Web development a plus Team/Communication Skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities Ability to quickly learn and apply new tools and technology Ability to effectively communicate idea and information to other individuals and team Comfortable in a fastpaced environment with challenging deadlines, and multiple projects
