WEA is currently looking for 1 Quality Assurance Analysts to help support our client's Data Quality Program. The Data Quality Program is a series of projects which make up our client's reinvestment of their iSeries based systems which include both RPG and Java applications. Examples of these projects include the Data Remediation project (a clean up and enhancement of several dated RPG systems), as well as the Eligibility Enhancement Projects (there are several new federal and state regulations being imposed on the health insurance industry requiring our client to change their systems to accomodate; examples include the maximum eligibility age of a dependant increasing and the an increase in mandatory coverage for autistic children.) We are looking primarily for Manual QA Analysts with strong SQL scripting experience. The QA Analysts must have experience testing applications in an AS/400 iSeries environment. The QA analyst will be working from technical specifications, however they must have strong communication skills as often they will be responsible for building test plans, test cases and test scripts after gathering/clarifying requirements from BA's or endusers. Experience manually executing test cases is necessary but experience and knowledge around automated testing, specifically what tests or funtions to automate and experience with appropriate tools such as Mercury testing tools or similar would be a big plus. Experience in the health insurance industry, experience with ClearQuest error tracking software, and experience with RUP would all be pluses as well. These positions could easily last for the duration of the overall program (2+ years) so local candidates would be preferred. Summary of work In 2010 our client will be improving the quality of member data that is requested, maintained and used by the organization. The first of several projects will begin in 2010 and will focus on the data needs of the Eligibility system on our AS/400. Testing will be needed for software enhancements. This will expose the individual to all AS/400 system applications as well as some Java and Informatica work. This testing has a smaller scope, shorter turn around and requires a lot of interaction with the Development and User groups. The following qualifications are requested. At least 2 years QA Analyst experience Experience creating and running SQL scripts Previous experience analyzing requirements, writing test plans and cases and executing test cases Experience with the AS/400 including running jobs, validating databases, etc. and to elaborate on the 400 experience In terms of AS/400 they need to be familiar with the system, the structure of data and objects. They will need to be able to navigate through the menu system, within data tables and understand the command line structure. It would be helpful if they've submitted jobs and looked at output on the AS/400. I recognize that a lot of work is migrating away from the AS/400 but they're experience may still highlight these areas. While we would love to see someone who has experience in all the things listed above, if the candidates had to navigate a bit within the AS/400 structure to retrieve the data then we would consider the candidate Firm understanding of SDLC Preferred Qualifications QA Certification Previous insurance industry experience Previous experience with ClearQuest error tracking software Previous experience using RUP
