SOA Architect

Description

The SOA Middleware Administrator provides leadership and technical expertise in the administration and support of the Oracle SOA middleware infrastructure. Strong technical background/experience is expected. Duties include configuration and implementation of SOA Suite middleware environment, problem diagnosis and resolution, capacity planning, monitoring and analysis of Web Services performance, and administration of the SOA middleware infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Develop, document, and implement procedures that support, maintains and enhances application server products and services. Manage the application architecture of middleware tier infrastructure including SOA Suite (BPEL, Business Rules Engine, Mediator), Oracle BAM, Oracle Enterprise Repository, iWay Third Party Application adapter. Function as a technical expert in problem resolution for SOA middleware infrastructure hardware and software issues. Responsible for understanding high availability / fault tolerance from the applications perspective. Develop and implement procedures that support proactive problem detection and avoidance, including disaster recovery planning and implementation. Support SOA Developers in day to day work Create documents on SOA development and Implementation strategy Help establish Management, Monitoring and Administration procedures for SOA Suite 11g infrastructure based on Oracle recommended practices. Collaborate with the J2EE infrastructure team, DBAs, technical leads, developers and business analysts for design activities as it relates to interfaces to Oracle SOA Middleware. Enhance/maintain the reusable service repository, design patterns and reusable technical components (e.g. Web Services and SOA components, BPEL/ESB processes, data transformations, error handling, auditing, logging etc.).
