QA tester

Description

This position will be responsible for Software Quality Assurance (QA) for the ARAMARK Healthcare IT project portfolio. The role will include assisting with the definition of the QA policies and procedures for the department; as well as a handson role facilitating the QA and Testing for specific projects. Our project portfolio includes custom development, packagedbased and outsourced solutions. The technical landscape includes web applications, clientserver, data warehousing, network, multimedia, database, legacy and middleware. Our solutions are implemented both in our internal data centers, as well as across all of our customer locations. This type of IT landscape creates a complex set of challenges for implementation and support; which in turn drives the objectives of this role. The scope of the QA/Testing process will cover the spectrum of the IT QA/Testing areas, including Functionality, compatibility, reliability, load/stress, network/connectivity, usability, installation/deployment, security and data protection. This role will work closely with multiple teams in a collaborative fashion including multiple IT departments, project teams, business teams, external product vendors, deployment and support teams. The initial assignment will be a handson role creating test scripts, executing tests, logging defects, and coordinating fixes for the development of new functionality for the eCPS portal (IBM Websphere Portal). This work will include extensive use of HP Quality Center. Essential Functions Test planning Identify the testing scope and define testing plans for application technical testing and verification against system and business requirements. Test script development Responsible for identifying and defining the required test cases/scripts. Execute testing Hands on executing of testing scripts and monitoring testing progress and results in each test cycle. Measure & report progress Report on all QA & testing functions, and report to management on the overall quality experienced as a result of the QA & testing activities. Maintain policies & procedures Define and maintain the overall quality assurance and testing policies/procedures for department as required.
