FedEx Office Technology is in need of a Tester for their automation team. Someone that has a strong background in QTP not only executing the scripts but also very experienced in writing them(VB Scripting). Finding bugs and defects will be part of the desired skill set. They will need experience with Quality Center to run QTP scripts. Any test case design background is highly desired as well as having the ability to turn defects into test cases. Also, they will need to write test cases from the requirements. One further plus is having someone that is experienced running Sql queries from statements against the database. Additional experience .Net WPF apps(big plus but not mandatory) Java Additional Job Info Top 3 Skills (stack ranked) 3 years QTP 9.2, Writing scripts, Automated testing Go To Work N Interview Info (date, time, process, interviewers) Go to work Work Environment (culture, deadline intensive, flexible hours, dress code) This resource will be located in the QA testing lab in the basement. Not the prettiest of locations but they need them to be located close to the development team. Team size is 6 and everyone is very personable and helpful. Business casual dress and they are somewhat flexible on the work schedule. Business Challenge Client is Tasked with Solving Their are multiple business challenges that this resource will impact. The first one is that FXO is changing payment authorization providers. By having to move from one to the other, they will need to test the applications against the new providers services. The second business challenge is to make a better front end website. The marketing team is wanting to enhance some of functionality to the PreProduction Assistant(PPA) application for the coming holidays. The end result application will be the front line for what the customers see on a day to day basis. The development team is currently working on those enhancements such as creating calendars, add snowflakes, and other holiday symbols. They have not offered this in the past and the hope is that by doing so they will draw more customers to their online document store and see additional revenues. Lastly, FXO has new OTP(customized POS) release coming up and they need to make sure the new version is compatible with the other back office applications. Who is the Internal/External Customer (i.e., enduser or endclient) External FedEx's customers are the end customer. By enhancing some of the current functionality to PPA FeEx is counting on some addtional web traffic to it's online document store thus creating a more satisfying experience for their customers and increased profits to FedEx.
