Must haves 5 years+ experience architecting/guiding the use of mission critical EAI platforms 5 years+ experience in the wM environment including infrastructure and the wM software itself Ability to actively find and resolve issues with enterprise wM environment to prevent production issues Deep understanding of EAI practices and standards 1) The must haves. What must they have experience with and how much of it for them to be qualified for this position. First and foremost we are looking for a webMethods platform architect so we need someone with demonstrated webMethods experience. That experience would be focused on o webMethods application management o wM troubleshooting in a high availability production environment o wM performance tuning/optimization o wM infrastructure (what servers should it run on; what is the ideal configuration; etc) o Strong verbal and written communication skills. This is critical @ Sony, the ability to not only understand the issue or what to do but explain that to peers, management and production support personnel. o The ability to handle difficult situations and focus on technical options and solutions. Secondarily we would like someone with some data warehousing and BI experience but given the timing criticality, wM is the most important. 5 years+ experience architecting/guiding the use of mission critical EAI platforms 5 years+ experience in the wM environment including infrastructure and the wM software itself Ability to actively find and resolve issues with enterprise wM environment to prevent production issues Deep understanding of EAI practices and standards They really want to focus on a resource that has deep skills in this area. They are not looking for a developer but an architect that has proven skill with architecting/guiding the use of mission critical EAI platforms. Top 3 technical skill sets and how much (many years) of it webMethods 5 years (min) Oracle or MS SQL Server relational database skills 5 years Informatica (or ETL equivalent) 3 years (can be concurrent w/ wM experience) The pluses. What would be a plus but not an absolute must have in their experience Experience guiding and directing the technical direction/activities of offshore personnel. Experience working in a large IT organization with a matrixed reporting structure. Experience with EDI. Duties Specific responsibilities for this platform lead opportunity include Oversight/expertise of the wM environment including infrastructure and the wM software itself. Ability to actively find and resolve issues with enterprise wM environment to prevent production issues. Expertise to solve issues that are escalated from the production support team or development teams. Deep understanding of EAI practices and standards. Drive to see issues fully resolved to satisfaction of business. Interpersonal skills to work in a matrixed environment consisting of o A dedicated production support team. This person will not be providing level 1 support but instead be the escalation point for issues the front line support cannot solve. o A development team focused on building solutions using wM platform. o A user community that heavily depends on wM platform to run Sonys business.
