Informatica Developer

Description

This individual will be working closely with the Data Analysts and will have to create advanced workflows without very specific design documents. Candidates must have strong SQL Server experience, working in an environment where SQL Server was both the source and the target database. Candidates also need experience with Indexes (both SQL Server and Informatica), Partitioning, Dynamic parameter files, Performance Tuning, Stored Procedures need to know what these are called post/pre SQL. Additional experience in XML is very helpful. Responsibilities Create ETL mappings to extract data from multiple legacy systems. Transform and load the data into the Enterprise Data Warehouse using Informatica 8.1.1. Set up batches and work flow sessions to run these mappings. Assist in designing Informatica mappings and data model structural changes. Assist in the design and creation of transformer models. Understand business challenges & translate them into process/technical solutions. Creation of documents related to the ETL process. Required Skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills Strong understanding of relational databases Good Understanding of Data Warehousing best practices Good understanding of tools used to access and present data Good communication and interpersonal skills At least 4 years of experience with Informatica, including v7 and v8 Informatica Power Center 7.1/7.0/6.2/5.1, Informatica Power Mart 7.0/6.2/5.1/4.7 Experience with Data Modeling is a plus
