DescriptionThis position requires an experienced engineer capable of makingsignificant contributions throughout the software development lifecycle.As a handson developer for one or more the companys core softwareproducts, the Senior Software Engineer will participate in all tasksrelated to requirements gathering, risk analysis, unit testing, andsoftware implementation.The Senior Software Engineer position requires experience in commercialweb and desktop application development in ntiered environments using.Net, ASP, SQL, and IIS. Additional responsibilities include Windowssoftware development using Visual C# evaluation of emergingtechnologies, and development recommendations for future productdevelopment. In addition to technical proficiency, strong communication andinterpersonal skills are required, as this person will work in a highlycollaborative environment. The Senior Software Engineer will interactwith many teams throughout the organization, mentor less experiencedteam members, and participate in continual investigation of processimprovement strategies.Working conditions include normal office environment with heavycomputer use. Candidates must be able to sit for long periods at a time.Some extended hours or weekend work may be required along with sometravel.Required Skills/Experience● BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience● 7+ years experience in commercial web development and Windowssoftware development● 5+ years experience in senior role using C#, C++, ASP.Net, SQLfor SQL Server, IIS, XML, Search Engines● Experience with Test automation, Unit Test Frameworks, Mocking,Design Patterns, Classic ASP, XQuery, JQuery, COM Interop● Interest in collaborative environments and developmentmethodology● Strong working knowledge of objectoriented programming,development best practices, design patterns, verification testframeworks, and software business fundamentals● Excellent written and verbal communication skillsPlusesSkills with SQL Server and degree of Database modeling/design skillsExperience with Test Driven Design/Development Application of DesignPatternsExpert OOD experienceFamiliarity and comfort with Extreme Programming environmentC++/MFC experience
