Project Manager

Description

A Project Manager is required for the OCFS Data Warehouse. The DW is sourced from the agencys major child welfare case management related systems CONNECTIONS, CCRS, and WMS, and is also beginning to host data from other OCFS applications for a variety of reporting needs. The DW effort consists of multiple subprojects. The efforts over the next 18 month period will include priorities including Casework Contact reporting; AFCARS changes, additions and general support; Family Assessment Response reporting; NCANDS reporting; CONNECTIONS Quarterly Build changes; Juvenile Justice data mart; WMS data feeds; Infrastructure upgrades and enhancements (Cognos and Oracle upgrades); and more. The benefits to OCFS of the DW are increased availability of child welfare and enterprisewide data, and an increase in decision support reporting flexibility. This position provides the agency with a dedicated resource to operate and manage the multiple projects within the DW including the hundreds of existing reports with their multiple sources/solutions, as well as the many new reporting and data provision efforts in progress and coming with future Connections builds. The person in this position is the primary liaison with DW users, and performs daytoday oversight, architecture design, and analyzes and recommends reporting methods and solutions for all DW activities. This person manages other DW staff and assigns and monitors their tasks and interactions with each other and other groups. This person represents the DW at various internal and external meetings and is responsible for creating and maintaining project plans/schedules and providing regular status reports to management.
