Description
Dynamic, fastpaced, and agile development team is looking to add a skilled Java Developer. This team provides design, development, and production support for numerous applications built on the webLogic platform within the Treasury Services Line of Business. A successful candidate must enjoy handson programming, problem solving, and working in a dynamic and challenging environment. As a JAVA developer, you will participate in all facets of the development cycle, including requirements and project planning, highlevel and detailed design, build and test. You will communicate with onshore staff including architects, developers, and other project support staff. You will develop applications as a part of a combined (onshore and offshore) team practicing agile methodologies underneath the JPMC project framework. You will deliver detailed design documents using UML, code objects and components, and database models. You will adhere to coding and architectural standards as well as control policies as defined throughout Treasury Services. A successful candidate must have at least three years of relevant JAVA development experience. The candidate must have expertise in XML, web services, and Xml Schemas. The candidate must possess database skills with Oracle, and experience configuring JDBC connections, writing SQL, and troubleshooting datarelated errors. The candidate must have a passion for programming and the ability to understand and explain the different components of the distributed platform. Any experience with webMethods is a strong plus. Technical team leadership experience is also a plus. Roles and Responsibilities Must have at least 3 years of handson experience in relevant JAVA development.Required College degree or specialized training / equivalent work experience Ability to work fast and quickly ramp up on new technologies and concepts. Willingness to work flexible hours to support periodic meetings with onshore staff. Solid knowledge of J2EE development on Weblogic or equivalent application server Working knowledge of JAVA programming Strong understanding of XML, XML Schemas, and Web Services WebLogic system administration concepts including server administration and deployment. Oracle Database and SQL programming experience Understanding of transactional support and effective exception handling Clustered WebLogic / J2EE environment Maven, Hudson, Sonar, Ant, and related build and code management tools Hibernate, Spring, and related open source libraries Web development skills including AJAX concepts, HTML, JavaScript Plus Experience in using GreenHat tool Experience with IBM MQ, webMethods Experience leading small teams of 2 to 3 developers
