AS/400 Architect

Description

1. IBM iSeries server (AS400) architect with very strong knowledge in iseries scalability, replication, architecture, interface design, data flow design, etc.2. Excellent client communications skills (including interviewing/discovery, the ability to challenge assumptions/assertions, and presentation skills) spanning all organizational levels from frontline operations individuals to senior executives. The ability to lead with confidence on an independent basis is critical, as is the ability to tactfully challenge assertions made by the client.3. Experience designing and recommending iSeries system and partition configurations to support multiple environments to include Development, Test, QA, Production staging, and Production.4. The ability to independently document results and generate and populate reports and presentations.Minimum Years of Experience 12 Preferred Skills Experience with claims processing systems on the iseriesResponsibilities Work with the team to develop an iseries server architecture strategy.Expected Deliverables iSeries architecture diagrams defining environments to support dev/test/QA/staging/production (and, potentially, multiple environments for each), scalability recommendations, replication and recovery techniques, data flow recommendations, etc.
