Skills and Responsibilities Higher level expertise in the areas of J2EE technologies, Web Services development, hands on experience w/IBM MQ Series, WebSphere, and Portals Architect level understanding on the current technical architectures including constraints related to platforms and standards Experience w/Architecture Review process, design of large systems, creation of technical requirements documents and major decision documents would be a plus Help define the technical reference architecture, ensuring that it meets the business requirements, cost constraints and performance goals of the application Ensure that the technical architecture is consistent with the client's longterm direction Involved in the application and technical architecture analysis, design, and implementation, and ensure that the product fulfills the requirements Work w/integration solution architects deliver high level and detailed architecture design and documentation Indentify the technial enfironment required to support the application architecture reviews Define application programming guidelines and standards Colloborate w/other architects to ensure that the products & components work together to meet the objectives & performance goals as defined in the requirements Troubleshoot, debug & solve technology integration and performance problems Additional Job Info Additional Skills/Qualities not required but would be a plus Evidence of prior leadership position in implementation of a corporate level & successful SOA Architecture Knowledge of crossplatform design & development experience Exposure to WebSphere portal and/or java portlets Strong CSS (Cascading Styles Sheets) experience Top 3 Skills (stack ranked) MUST HAVES 8+ years overall JAVA/J2EE, SOA related full SDLC development experience in large enterprise environments (ideally manufacturing functional domains) 5+ years SOA, IBM WebSphere experience 3+ years of BPEL (Business Process Execution Language) and EBS (Enterprise Service Bus
