LIMS Administrator

Description

The IT LIMS Administrator is responsible for planning and coordinating the ongoing support and maintenance of Boston Analytical''s LIMS platform with all of its associated hardware and software components.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Define and maintain system roles Assign user access and ensure overall security Perform system customizations Convert methods into electronic format Create custom reports as necessary Manage a team of 1+ employees including tracking goals and conducting performance reviewsPreferred RequirementsSkills/Knowledge Broad background in IT, specifically within a pharmaceutical or biotech laboratory environment Working knowledge of laboratory LIMS systems is a must, direct knowledge of LabWare LIMS is a plus A thorough knowledge of software validation requirements as they relate to the FDA and other pharmaceutical regulatory agencies is a must. The ability to understand the big picture dynamics of a large computer platform and creatively solve HW/SW issues providing a range of logical solutions to a given problem is essential. Project management skills Ability to lead and motivate a project team spanning multiple departmentsEducation Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Biology or Chemistry. Experience A minimum of 5 years experience in Information Technology (IT), project management and team leadership in a pharmaceutical lab environment required
