Description
Responsibilities Include Under general supervision, performs assigned software maintenance, enhancement and/or development tasks to support project delivery, product support and/or development activities. Completes intermediate software builds, integration and testing of products. Assigned integration and internal testing. Assists in identifying packaging requirements and designs, and deploys solutions for system delivery. Gathers information for and prepares software and system level security documentation, such as software design documents, system installation guides and security guidelines, security test plans, secure coding guides, and software maintenance manuals. Performs basic and intermediate complexity bug fix designs. Implements the accepted design within the scheduled time and budget. Implements assigned predefined new functionality in applications. Provides limited marketing support for proposals and demonstrations to potential customers. Interfaces with customers on specific projects or technical issues. May mentor interns and junior staff. May require some travel up to two times a year. May be required to work extended hours, carry a pager/cell phone and be on callGeneral Qualifications Requires Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent or equivalent work experience. At least five (5) years software design or development experience in applicable language and/or database. Strong programming skills in writing code in one or more of the following C, C++, .NET, Java, Oracle, or relevant. Some understanding of and willingness to learn network security, access control, encryption, PKI, WSSecurity, and relevant cyber security concepts. Design and programming experience in one or more cyber security areas is a plus. Requires basic secure coding skill. Understanding and be able to build fuzzing tools are preferable. Proven understanding of software design methodology. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to draft professional and technical reports and procedures. Ability to make informal presentations to technical and nontechnical staff and customers. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Desired. Knowledge of SCADA and/or Distribution experience for utilities
