Job Summary Reporting to the Sr. Project Manager, support internal and external customers of ADESA Inc. and the Information Technology Department in the development of software in accordance with corporate guidelines to ensure achievement of maximum dollar sales volume in the most profitable way possible. Define and document functional and technical specifications for client server software development.Responsibilities and Duties 1. Interview internal and external customers to gather requirements. Define document functional and technical specifications for client server software development projects. Validate business processes against data requirements.2. Troubleshoot application issues and investigate enhancement requests. 3. Verify that requirements are testable and generate testing objectives. Ensure functional specifications are sound, efficient and support company goals.4. Prepare business proposals for software development projects and present to senior management. Communicate application/business knowledge to other members of IT.5. Act as a liaison between technical and nontechnical users. Interact with technical resources in problem resolution. Make sure customers receive prompt, efficient and courteous attention for all contacts and transactions.6. Be familiar with procedures for handling all aspects of customer complaints and disputes and resolve any customer complaints in a friendly, courteous manner. Advise the Team Lead of serious complaints or incidents.7. Answer questions about applications for all team members, as well as internal and external customers.8. Interface with executives, end users and other technical resources to fulfill end user requirements.
