1. Project Description There are two interrelated analysis projects that will be conducted simultaneously with the same set of internal Quality and Risk Management customers which are part of the firms Professional Indemnity Insurance Groups. Below are the executive summaries of both projects Executive Summary for Claim ManagementThe group is a global organization that, amongst other things, oversees claims management for the three insurance captives that insure the company's member firms globally. Their Claims Management (CM) application, which was developed internally, and last updated 7 years ago, is outdated. It does not track certain data which the organization now needs nor respond to the current needs in terms of reporting, approvals, authorizations and financial systems integration. This project will analyze their needs versus the applications capabilities and advise whether to upgrade the current application, develop a new application or purchase an off the shelf product. Maintaining legal privilege will be a paramount consideration. Executive Summary for Document ManagementThe group is a global organization providing services to the three captives that insure the company's member firms globally under the Professional Indemnity Insurance program. Currently, there are a variety of document management systems (DMS) in place for the group and the captives in Canada, UK, Bermuda, Dublin and US, which are duplicative and do not allow for collaboration. Email is the main method of collaboration amongst team members and external service providers, thereby making the information decentralized and limited to an individual's email as opposed to being visible to the broader team. This is an analysis project for a probable solution implementation in FY12. Tax considerations relating to the location of any server must be examined.2. High level description of the work to be done Facilitation (JAD) is critical to this role. Candidates must have had experience and be able to speak about their experiences with this activity3. Description of day to day tasks This resource will be expected to develop requirements through elicitation, analysis, specification and verification of business needs in accordance with industry best practices (e.g. use case modeling, quality requirements standards, etc). Some of the required components of requirements development artifacts include development of several levels of requirements, acceptance criteria, user interface specifications. Facilitation of requirements elaboration sessions is expected and a willingness to show initiative as a critical member of the delivery team. If the project requires the analyst to manage the requirements after baselining, impact analysis will be expected.
