Business Analyst/- Business Intelligence, Business Objects and SAP

DESCRIPTION Customer Relationship Manager / Business Relationship / Business Analyst/ Business Intelligence consultant needed in support of a Business Objects deployment. Business Objects and SAP have been deployed in North America (international deployments coming soon), and this person will be responsible for embedding themselves within a given functional area to help the business get access to the reporting and analytics that they need from Business Objects, and help them understand how to use these tools to realize the data they need. This is a customer facing role, but will also require communication at a technical level with the IT team as a whole. Some training of end users may be involved, as well as working with them to understand if the data they are requesting is feasible with the current setup, or if more technical design work is needed to the existing cubes and universes (that work would be done by the technical team). REQUIRED Experience with and understanding of Supply Chain processes and related data (business or functional processes). Supply Chain in this environment includes Plan/Source/Make/Deliver. Preference is for candidates with broad functional knowledge of these processes, but the most important functional knowledge is related to Order to cash and the Sales/Distribution aspects of Supply Chain processes. (this is more financial intensive than manufacturing for example). Strategic thinking ability. Strong Analyst skills, with ability to gather and translate business requirements, and work with the business to define projects. Solid experience with Business Objects, with an understanding of Business Objects capabilities and Reporting. This person must be able to interface with internal data management team on a technical level on Business Objects reporting topics (there is no BO development in this role though, it is focused on the user side of BO for report generation and capabilities). Understanding of SAP data (experience working in an SAP environment. This is not a technical SAP consultant or a purely SAP functional resource either, but this person will need to have worked in a technical environment that included SAP). Ability to gather true BI requirements from functional teams.
