PRIMARY OBJECTIVES This Business Intelligence Analyst will be a member of the Financial & Payment Analysis team in the Sales Compensation Administration (SCA). As part of this team, the analyst will be expected to partner with finance managers, supervisors, senior analysts, and other analysts, in addition to Sales and Account Management (SAM) Operations, SAM Finance, SAM Field management, Corporate Compliance and Audit (CCA), and external auditors. Primary responsibilities include understanding and ensuring payment calculations are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with SOX controls for the appropriate compensation plans. In additional this role will have numerous ad hoc query and analysis dependencies. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY Include but not limited toPartner with SAM Finance and other departments to provide financial analysis in support of strategic initiatives and other ad hoc projects Help develop and maintain MS Access payment queries, databases, and reports to accommodate all annual and midyear comp plan changes for assigned compensation plans Identify ways to develop and implement best practices to improve existing processes, accuracy of payment and accrual calculations, and all related reporting and analysis Complete ad hoc analysis as required Thoroughly understand assigned compensation plans and ensure the consistent application of those rules to the payment calculation and accrual process Ensure assigned compensation plans, sales rep promotions, and incentives are administered in an accurate and timely manner Partner with SAM Finance and other analysts to assist in the calculation of monthly financial accruals for commissions and bonus calculations in a timely and accurate manner Monitor inquiries and collaborate with processing and systems teams to resolve processing and systems errors and issues that impact payment calculations Work with management to address comp plan issues, questions, and/or changes Ensure payment processes remain in compliance with SOX controls Assist in maintaining and updating the departments SOX controls and documentation Work closely with the reporting & systems team to identify future enhancements that will improve accuracy of payment calculations and reduce errors and inquiries Provide customerfocused professional and proactive communication to internal teams and external customers REQUIREMENTS Fouryear college degree in business, finance/accounting, MIS strongly preferred 13 years relevant business experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with various levels within the organization including senior leadership Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and advanced knowledge of MS Access is required Familiarity with Business Objects and SAP a plus, but not required Excellent analytical skills and aptitude for problem solving, including data analysis, and validation Ability to exercise independent judgment, and ability to identify and improve processes Creative, innovative and able to successfully seize opportunities as they develop Proven ability to effectively handle and prioritize multiple and complex projects, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines in fastpaced servicedriven, customerfacing environment Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive business information
