Description Primary interaction point with business resources. Responsible for comprehending business requests and influencing directional change where necessary. Interviews resources across varying disciplines to elicit and rationalize business needs drawing on proper tools, skills and though processes to obtain all needed information. Translates ideas or concepts into clear goals, scope statements, high level requirements, detailed requirements, use cases, mockups, process models or other mechanisms to accurately capture business needs. Works with all project team members to ensure business needs and view are properly represented through out the lifecycle of the project. Facilitates meetings, as necessary, to review captured business needs and obtain crossfunctional approvals. Develops task plans for completing certain deliverables and phases of the project lifecycle and works closely with the enterprise project manager to ensure timelines are well understood and maintain traction throughout execution. Acts as a subject matter expert as needed. Responsible for drafting and facilitating reviews and approvals of key project documentation which may include Scope Statements, Highlevel and Detailed Business Requirements, Success Metrics, Business Cases, Process Models, Procedures and Job Aids, Use Cases, Test Cases/Scenarios. Business Rule definition. Nonfunctional and data requirement definition. Supports and drives (as necessary) business level testing of solutions and validates testing results. Manages requirements in automated systems or via manual maintained spreadsheets and databases and maintaining (or ensuring) traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle and to specific deliverables. Works closely with systems analysts to ensure any functional specifications are properly accounting for business needs. Supports development of implementation plans and postinstallation or release validation tests/scripts. Reinforce through mentoring, guidance, and performance management when required Assess work demand against capacity supply to staff diverse types of work requests. Define effective staffing plan recommendations against demand/supply fluctuations Must exhibit thought leadership and influence same across Analyst team membersRelationship Building Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders. Mobilize and motivate teams. Set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace. Execute with limited information and ambiguityProblem Solving Must demonstrate through prior experience the ability to solve business problems and to translate those resolutions into something that is consumable by multiple audiences. Must demonstrate through prior experience the ability to balance topdown versus bottomup analysisSubject Matter Expertise Highly preferred that candidates have subject matter expertise in Healthcare claim and provider business capabilities and processes.Solid and Proven Analyst Toolkit Must show the ability to communicate with all levels of resources from entrylevel operational resources to midlevel executives Must show the ability to develop crisp documentation and written communications that show a strong grasp of the English language Must have a solid grasp of all Microsoft Office Products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Project and Visio Must show the ability to facilitate discussions in order to elicit business needs from diverse, crossfunctional resources Must be comfortable working with significant ambiguity and driving teams towards specificity Must show the ability to influence various resources to arrive at proper outcomes Must be comfortable working under pressure Exposure to RUP, Six Sigma or other methodologies and tools is a plus Must be able to demonstrate through prior experience the ability to solve complex business problems that can range from strategic to tactical Must show the ability to apply the appropriate methods, tools and skills to arrive at the right outcomes for a given situationTools Development or customization of appropriate deliverables Tools or techniques for storyboarding Tools or techniques for mindmapping Tools or techniques for prioritizing needs (e.g. S.W.O.T. analysis, pairwise comparisons) Tools or techniques for process development and flowcharting. 5 to 10 years of progressive experience with the last 3 working on or leading business analysis for complex strategic projects Experience communicating with business and technology executives and tailoring both written and verbal communications as needed. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Diverse generalist backgrounds and skills are a very strong plus. Candidates with any combination of project management, systems or business analysis, architecture or design, and testing or quality assurance will receive top consideration. All candidates must be comfortable being thought leaders on one or more initiativesEducation 4 year degree or equivalent experience.
