Release Engineer

Description

Position Purpose/Objective To provide and create software using industrystandard tools for customer groups using a workflow tool. Construct software products and troubleshoot issues using current software engineering techniques and technologies. Responsibilities Provide technical guidance and leadership Devise or modify procedures to solve complex business problems Develop, troubleshoot, and support software using industrystandard tools (Java/J2EE, Maven, Hudson, Adobe Flex, Tomcat, Apache HTTP) Design, develop and test software products within budget and schedule constraints. Accurately estimate work requirements. Plan assigned activities in detail. Report status promptly and forthrightly. Communicate effectively in team oriented environment. Follow good software development practices and procedures Qualifications5+ years Java/J2EE development experience required. 1+ year Tomcat and/or Apache HTTP experience required. 3+ year developing Internet based applications that operate in a client/server environment required. Languages Java, PL/SQL, Unix scripting (ksh) Technologies XML, HTML, HTTP, Apache, Tomcat Practices & Patterns Object Oriented design and development Experience with Maven, Hudson, Adobe Flex strongly desired Excellent communication skills required. Strong problem resolution skills required. Ability to work in a team oriented environment required. 1+ years database SQL script writing experience desired. Experience with Microsoft Office tools required.
