C/C++ developer

Description

Lexmark seeks a specialist C/C++ developer whos smart and gets things done to help deliver worldclass enterprise software. We desire 8+ years of C/C++ experience, 5+ years required. Much of this experience must be in procedural C, and in a Windows environment. Experience using Windows APIs and writing Windows applications, DLLs, and services is a must. Experience with extant network management protocols such as SNMP strongly desired. Database programming experience, particularly with Oracle DBs and Oracle's Pro C precompiler, is highly desired. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background as well as the ability to work well in a small team environment. A desire to innovate and solve complex technical problems is key, as well as a motivation to learn new technologies and apply them to Lexmark software offerings. Willingness to mentor more junior team members is a must. A demonstrated background in focusing on software quality and usability is highly desired. Excellent oral and communication skills are required. Desired Skills/Qualifications Requirements 5+ years C/C++ Network programming (TCP/UDP), with both blocking and nonblocking sockets. Concurrent programming XML processing (SAX, DOM, XPATH, XSLT) Fluency in a version control system (CVS, SVN, Perforce, git, Mercurial) Fluency in a bugtracking/ticking system Desired Bachelors Degree or higher in Computer Science or related degree. 8+ years C/C++ Database programming experience, Oracle specifically Oracle Pro C precompiler SNMP v1,v2c,v3 Strong unit/integration testing background Visual Studio IDE Experience with Agile development support tools, including continuous integration, code coverage, and backlog management SOAPbased and RESTful webservice experience Familiarity with tools like Wireshark a plus
