Network Engineer

Job Description Required Skills 0. Must be a Strong Network Engineer 1. Strong hands on technical experience with Cisco 650x switches and the Nexus family of switches 2. Strong hands on technical experience with Cisco routers 3. Strong technical knowledge and experience with Cisco\'s IOS and CatOS. 4. Strong working knowledge of internetworking and network configuration of desktops and servers 5. Load balancer (ideally Citrix NetScaler) experience and expertise 6. Voice over IP (VoIP) / IP Telephony (IPT) experience and expertise 7. Handson experience with Excel 8. Handson experience with Unix commands and the vi editor 9. Excellent attention to detail 10. Excellent communication skills 11. Quick Learner 12. Able to work independently 13. Excellent interpersonal skills \can do\ attitude 14. Flexible in a fastpaced, constantly changing environment 15. Ability to provide written project updates and timelines on a regular basis. 16. Good troubleshooting skills, both for LAN and WAN environments. 17. Team Player 18. Working knowledge of, and experience with, OSPF is highly desired. Desired Skills 1. Working knowledge of HP Service Desk or other trouble ticket process. 2. Working knowledge of DNS and DHCP. 3. Working knowledge of VPN setup and firewall technologies. 4. Knowledge of, and experience with, wireless LANs. 5. Able to use Microsoft Visio for network diagrams. 6. Working knowledge of and experience with network LAN and WAN design and implementation. 7. Experience with packet shaping technologies. 8. Experience with taking and decoding packet captures.
