Job Description Systems Engineering role develops computer systems and solutions, rather than software. Major Role Responsibilities Understands all or most aspects of the hardware and software within the system; Contributes to IT project delivery by providing general and broad technical expertise throughout all phases of the development life cycle, including technical assessments, troubleshooting, design and engineering activities in support of complex software and hardware systems comprised of many technical components; Installs and configures application software, both offtheshelf and developed inhouse; For business domains and large IT programs, coordinates the technical engineering disciplines to ensure a holistic design and all aspects of the potential solution are well integrated and functioning in harmony; and Leads the design and engineering of web services, middleware and web hosting technologies and implementations. Years of Experience 35.Responsibilities Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all IT and automation/lab systems related initiatives at the site working with business function leads (manufacturing, lab, quality, EHS) to coordinate all IT systems activities Coordination of systems and infrastructure change control (i.e., servers RFCs), approving reboots, patches, etc. Tracking, receiving, and coordinating installs of systems hardware Escalating user incident tickets to appropriate support organization Coordinating IT systems and infrastructure projects with site manufacturing colleagues Determining impact of site projects and site change controls on IT systems by performing impact assessment and coordinating any resultant IT mitigation activities Supporting IT systems and automation/lab systems deployment Installing, configuring, and supporting IT and automation/lab systems hardware and software owned by the sitePosition Comments visible to MSP and Supplier
