Job Description Undertake the full range of duties relevant to ensure that his/her performance meets and/or exceeds both business goals and objectives and his/her own developmental goals and objectives. Promote and maintain a positive, resultsoriented work environment, building partnerships and modeling teamwork, communicating to the team in an open, balanced and objective manner. Maintain extensive and open communications with IT development teams and vendor contacts as well as with PAREXEL business system owners and users to ensure priorities and strategy are aligned and understood. Ensure that priorities support the strategic goals of the business. Keep manager(s) informed about work progress and any issues to avoid surprises. Conduct Software Quality reviews of software functional requirements, logical designs and detailed physical designs. Create or support the creation of test plans and test data. Conduct functional, highlevel systems integration, performance and change regression testing of inhouse developed software and customizations of thirdparty commercial off the shelf (COTS) software in accord with PAREXEL Operations and PAREXEL Quality Management standards and strategies (e.g., SOPs, lifecycle methodologies and regulatory requirements), project timelines and required quality standards. Evaluate and suggest improvements in the software development process. Participate in architectural reviews and analysis to ensure the efficacy of technical solutions. Provide leadership, mentoring and direction to lowerranking IT QA staff. Keep abreast of regulatory requirements and technical innovations related to test processes. Provide status updates and regular hand shake calls with offshore Other responsibilities and accountabilities as required or assigned. Mandatory Skills Must have diverse experience in Information Technology with emphasis on requirements, testing and quality assurance activities. Conversant with SDLC, STLC, QA best practices & processes. Must have .Net testing experienced Good understanding of Track wise functionality Good experience in Data Conversion/Data management/Interface testing Experience in the automated testing(QTP/UFT/Selenium) is a plus. Ability to plan, track and execute Functional, Regression, Integration, Conversion and End to End Testing Ability to understand client requirements and create good rapport with client Good knowledge of SQL is must Proficient in Oracle Reports, BO/Crystal Reports/OBIEE and mainly Spotfire Experience in Data Warehousing Concepts and Methodologies Experience in preparing test plans, test case authoring, review, execution, defect tracking and test results reporting Knowledge of ALM12.0 or higher version A working knowledge of Agile development processes/approaches/techniques/terminology is desirable Experience with backend, frontend and connectivity components of applications, including data warehouses. Experience managing a team of SQA and Software Test Engineers Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of testing project management, including test strategy and planning, test execution, test maintenance, test results/metrics reporting and strategizing on improving testing techniques/methodologies and tools usage Knowledge of and experience with best practices in configuration and change management of software components and packages including defect/issue reporting and tracking. Ability to manage own and others multiple and varied tasks and prioritize workload with attention to detail in a fastpaced and rapidly changing environment. Demonstrated ability to work independently or with minimal managerial oversight but seek guidance when necessary. Must take responsibility for assigned work and produce results as promised. Effective time management of own and others time in order to meet team objectives. Exhibits a sense of urgency about solving problems and completing work.
