POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARY STATEMENT (defines the major functions/purpose of the position) The BI Developer position is a technical, handson role responsible for the design and development of BI solutions (primarily in Oracle BI), including physical and logical data modeling (coordinating with ETL developer and BI Analysts to ensure solutions fit the requirements), RPD physical, logical, and presentation layer development, dashboard and adhoc analysis creation, timely report delivery, and report security considerations. The role will have an aptitude for understanding the business needs and the data present in our global enterprise data warehouse, and should be prepared to work closely with various functional and technical teams across the organization. This position reports to the IT Manager, Analytics.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Proven Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) experience requiredStrong OBIEE dashboard and analysis development skillsProven data modeling and problem solving experienceAbility to translate BI business requirements into technical requirements for BI developmentProven ability to independently develop complex dashboards, analyses, and agents utilizing tables, graphs, and interactive elements in line with project requirements and delivery deadlinesEnsure that data projects follow prescribed development life cycle and meet quality standardsWork as part of a team to elicit, document, and finalize business requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience 5+ years working as BI Developer in an OBIEE shop, OR 3+ years working as an BI Developer in an OBIEE shop PLUS a fieldrelated Masters degreeMust demonstrate a high level of experience writing Oracle PL/SQLProficient in analyzing business/data requirementsProficient writing metadata definitions data mapping specifications;Proficient in data analysis, defect identification, and resolution;Understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling;Experience with full lifecycle development projects and agile methodologies;Must possess exceptional problem solving skills;Very strong OBIEE experience (11g acceptable; 12c preferred) Skills/Programs/Knowledge/Behavior Strong written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problemsolving abilitiesThe ability to work independently and with minimal supervisionThe ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
