Day to Day Responsibilities of this Position and Description of Project The Senior Business Analyst works to proactively and creatively solve for business needs through enterprisewide crossfunctional collaboration. Responsible for eliciting, documenting, and defining business requirements and driving process development for mid to highly complex projects and large scale initiatives with significant impact to the business and/or systems. Leverages experience in impacting and influencing business decisions to deliver key insights and optimize solutions.Key Responsibilities Ability to quantify work resource requirements. Ability to conduct research, impact analysis and determine the level of effort to complete requirements elicitation and defining the breakdown of tasks, resource loading, issue tracking and resolution managementAbility to identify a desired future state that addresses a business problem utilizing multiple analytic methodologies and business process modelingAbility to elicit and manage requirements to the smallest set that will provide the biggest impact in advancing business objectivesSupport the business through development and support of testing scenariosDrive and support continued process improvements for internal and enterprise initiativesSkills Healthcare knowledge/experience a mustConduct research interviews prior to the elicitation of requirements to ensure all business needs are accounted forElicits and documents requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language simply, clearly, unambiguously, and conciselyDecomposes highlevel user requirements into functional requirementsPartners and leads requirements analysis and verification with business and technology partners to elicit, analyze and translate business requirements into consumable requirements for the technical teams and ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable, and that they conform to standardsAnalyzes the business needs, defines detailed requirements, and validates potential solutions/approaches with the business communityUtilize existing requirements when applicable to ensure most successful outcome of required changesRepresents requirements using alternative views, such as analysis models (diagrams), prototypes, or scenarios, where appropriateProvides input to the development of formal business use cases business solutions are proposedUtilize the business case to document initial end to end use case to support the requirements and downstream technical deliverablesWorks with business to understand overall objective and outcomes to support a level of effort for a particular work itemPossesses a working knowledge of the enterprise application system and database portfolio, including development technologies, application design strategies, access methods, naming standards, performance tuning, and integration strategies necessary to maintain information integrity, security and physical storage requirementsSupports the business through analysis, documents and tests program development, logic, process flows and specificationsPartners with business to conduct user acceptance testingProven track record to assess and influence process improvement activity internally and across the enterprise to support the goals and objectivesExperience Stakeholder ManagementIIBA, Lean Six Sigma, PMP, Agile preferredProven facilitation in a high matrix organizationExperience in a healthcare industry or other related entityExperience with Microsoft Project, Visio, and SharePointExperience performing business analysis for work efforts with medium to high complexityEducation Requirements Bachelor's Degree5+ years of business analyticsInternal/External Groups with which the Candidate will interface with Internal Project team, Business SMEs and stakeholders, IT teams, QA teamsWill this candidate interface with IT and business teams If so, which ones Yes teams will depend on project assignments however expectation is that the candidate is versatile enough to interface across all IT teams and business teams as neededHow does this project impact the line of business or BSC as a whole Supports enterprise initiativesRequired Skills (top 3 to 5/ nonnegotiables) 1.
