Description
Position Description The State of New Jersey, Department of Education (DOE) needs to modernize the Teacher Certification Information System (TCIS). A Request for Proposal (RFP) was created to solicit bids from vendors but the decision was made to accomplish the modernization using consultants by using the RFP as an overall requirement but scaling it down to meet the paradigm of delivery through consultants. The team is expected to ramp up and requires the following member to form the core team The project was originally planned to use an RFP vendor with a project oversight vendor but the budget forced the use of a smaller team. This necessitated finding people with highly specialized skills to fill multiple roles as the project progresses including a senior Java programmer. Skills Required Frontend development HTML, JavaScript (AJAX), XHTML, XML and CSS Server Side development Strong Java background (including JEE), Spring framework (Spring Batch, Dependency Injection, Spring MVC, Spring Security), workflow/navigation, continuous integration experience. Frameworks Knowledge of Struts (conversion from Struts to Spring), Role Based Access Control, SSO (desired), Logging frameworksExpertise in full stack senior Java Developer
