Core Java / Oracle (PL/SQL) Developer

Description

Role Will serve as a Senior Software Developer on the Content Integration development team. Work will be on all phases of the software development process associated with systems to support content integration within Client. Development projects will be a mixture of new development, refactoring of existing systems, and ongoing support. The development environment is large Oracle databases, PL/SQL and Java applications, ETL tools, and custom data environments. Duties Candidate will join a team developing systems supporting the production of Client's content products. Will be responsible for detailed design, implementation, unit test, and operational support of parts or all of various systems. Will be required to interact with several cross functional organizations. In some cases, will need to perform architectural tradeoffs, and perform significant interaction with technical architects and other designers. Will be required to perform senior level peer reviews. Will be expected to understand, follow, and improve the Client's software development processes. Skills Ideal candidate will be a Senior developer with experience or demonstrable skills in developing large database systems. Should be an excellent Oracle PL/SQL developer, and experienced in Java application development. Ideal candidate would have experience in large DB environments, and with maintaining and tuning PL/SQL code. Must have good communication skills and able to work with diverse technical and nontechnical staff at various levels. Able to work independently as well as provide leadership to junior developers. Solid SDLC experience and demonstrated commitment to, and ability to lead development processes. Exposure to ETL tools a plus. Job Specification
