Description

Responsibilities Install and configure the MySQL database system Perform regular database maintenance tasks, such as defragmentation, upgrades and storage management Perform data modeling Ensure quality data creation, presentation and data flow within our systems Oversee data consistency and thirdparty interfaces Perform physical database design and implementation in a LINUX/MySQL environment Understand and design highavailability architecture Guide application teams with migrating to the cloud using a MySQL RDS database engineRequirements Bachelor's degree in computer science or computer information systems Knowledge of SQL coding and LINUX shell scripting Ability to perform code and design reviews Knowledge related to server hardware, including networks and storage devices Database design/architecture experience in a LINUX/MySQL or Windows/SQL server environment Database administration operations experience in a LINUX/MySQL or Windows/SQL server environment Expertise in performance optimization, clustering and replication Knowledge of SQL coding or LINUX shell scripting Ability to understand large data models quickly Ability to troubleshoot problems and quickly resolve issues Strong communication skills Strong analytical and research skills Knowledge of cloud infrastructure
