Description
UX Designer who is strategyminded and passionate about user centered design, interaction design, and turning customer data into beautiful solutions. DUTIES/EXPECTATIONS Work within a team of user experience (UX) professionals to research, design, and prototype experiences for interactive user interfaces, meeting demanding quality standards and conforming to various software development and business processes. Responsibilities may include 1. Under minimal guidance, develop innovative UX designs to meet requirements, including annotated wire frames, site maps, screen mockups, and behavioral/interaction design. 2. Participate in reviewing others' UX deliverables. 3. Provide input to design discussions; propose solutions and alternatives. 4. Contribute to UX work estimates; perform tradeoffs between design, schedule and cost, and resource constraints, and recommend alternatives. 5. Present work to stakeholders for feedback and approval. 6. Proactively report on progress and raise any issues affecting ability to complete work. 7. Actively seek opportunities to engage with others and to take on additional tasks and responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as Library and Information Science, HCI, Industrial Design, Information Sciences, or Art; candidates without a degree may be considered if they can demonstrate the necessary level of knowledge and skills. Requires a minimum of three years experience as a UX designer with solid skills in usercentered design methodologies and a demonstrated ability to create highquality UX deliverables. Must exhibit a high tolerance for ambiguity and must demonstrate skills in analytical thinking, creative problemsolving, and effective collaboration with others. Candidates must also have excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills and be proficient in using various UX design software. Expertise in creating visual assets (e.g., with Illustrator and/or Expression Blend), developing visual style guides, and/or creating interactive prototypes is a plus. Candidates must provide a portfolio demonstrating their capabilities (online preferred) and must be available for an inperson interview.
