Description The framework and the design has already been built.. this is really a WebSphere Developer Lead position and they need someone who is Sr. enough to lead the other WebSphere developers. WebSphere Portal Architect SUMMARY In this role, successful candidates must be able to work with IBM clients to Effectively translate business requirements (e.g. business case, requirement specifications, nonfunctional requirement specifications & use case models) into technical solutions, generally built upon the WebSphere Portal framework Develop solution architecture and work with client IT & business teams to build consensus Develop application framework and establish foundation and standards for code development Lead development team members to develop, test and deploy application components Support and mentor other technical team members REQUIREMENTS Deep WebShpere Portal and Content Management knowledge and experience Must have held the role of a Websphere Portal Architect for multiple Portal based solutions, and enterprisescale, J2EEbased solutions for large organizations. At least 5 years experience in an IT Architect role with Portal or Custom Application architecture expertise 5 years websphere portal developer experiences Must have led large scale IBM Websphere Portal implementation with JSR 168/286 Portlets, WSRP, JSPs and Servlets, SOAPbased Web Services, RAD, Portlet Factory. Strong knowledge of WebSphere Portal components, services and frameworks, Websphere Portal configuration, Websphere App Server, SSO configuration. Must have served as lead architect in J2EE projects (Spring/Spring MVC, Struts, JSF, Hibernate, etc.), objectoriented design and related tools (UML, Rational). Experience with most of the following Spring, JMS, Websphere MQ, Spring JDBC, DAO Layer, SQL Server, JavaMail API, TAM, SVN. Familiar with the core design patterns and best practices (OO/GangofFour, J2EE, Architecture). Familiar with SDLC methodologies including RUP and Agile. Must have a proven track record with integrating solutions in disparate platforms and technologies. Proven mentoring/leadership experience, excellent communication skills (effective oral and written skills). Experience in SOA and web services design, development and testing Experience in ESB design and development (e.g. DataPower, WebSphere ESB, or WebSphere Message Broker) Experience in solid understanding of industry standards (WSDL, SOAP, XML Schema, WS) SQL and DBMS platforms (e.g. DB2, Oracle, SQL Server) QUALIFICATIONS 10 years of overall information technology and software development experience. Bachelor's Degree Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills Demonstrated experience developing architectures in support of complex business application suites and reports Focus on timely and quality delivery of solutions Strong business and communication skills .
