Description
Position Description Lockheed Martin has an immediate need for a highly motivated BI Applications Developer/Analyst with responsibilities including participating in all aspects of evaluating and developing a Business Intelligence Solution for a Business Intelligence Suite, utilizing SOA platform and ETL tools (such as Cognos, Oracle, Teradata) as well as Business Intelligence applications (such as MicroStrategy, Oracle EPM, WebFOCUS). The candidate must be able to pass a Federal Suitability Check for a position of public trust.Skills Requirements Required Skills Demonstrated architecture and administrative skills using MicroStrategy, Oracle EPM, and WebFOCUS. Demonstrated development ability using MicroStrategy, Oracle EPM, and WebFOCUS. Knowledge of both client/server and mainframebased systems. Extensive technical experience with requirements analysis efforts for largescale successful IT system implementations. Requirements analysis experience with identifying services and defining processing requirements in a SOA environment. Business Process Modeling experience to visualize, document, model and analyze business processes. Experience eliciting requirements that lead to identification of business rules. Proven ability to document and progressively elaborate requirements using use cases; to develop general user requirements, detailed functional requirements and system specifications. Proven experience with the following tool sets Rational Requisite Pro, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Visio. Demonstrated experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Rational Unified Process (RUP) Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at a professional level and to distill complex technical and management data to a laypersons understanding with conciseness, clarity, and accuracy. Ability to organize complex concepts in written or presentation formats. Ability to clearly present information, verbally and in writing, to audiences of diverse technical backgrounds. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, innovative and creative. Ability to use Microsoft office suite for creating documents, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations for analysis often with no template or guide. Desired Skills Proficient in Ab Initio development Proven experience with Commercial off the shelf (COTS) Business Rules Engines Exposure to writing technical systems design and implementation documentation. Familiar with Section 508. Ability to work with Senior Management, Customer, consultants, programmers, DBAs and other data warehouse architects/analysts on a daily basis Experience working as a government contractor Experience working with SSA customer Experience working in a fast paced environment with multiple and changing priorities Proven ability to support software engineering life cycle (requirements analysis, design alternatives; detail program specifications, test plans, test case scenarios, etc.) Effectively work in a team environment and adjust to dynamic schedules Strong ability to work smoothly and effectively in groups comprised of widely ranging personality types. Bilingual ability is a plus. Education Bachelor
